Peter Sellars

Peter Sellars director of opera, theatre and film, is renowned worldwide for his groundbreaking and transformative interpretations of artistic masterpieces and for collaborative projects with an extraordinary range of creative artists, and for his commitment to exploring the role of the performing arts in contemporary society.
Sellers directed a performance of Wagner´s Tristan and Isolde at the Baltic Sea Festival in 2012. He was awarded the Polar Music Prize in 2014. Sellars is professor at UCLA, where he teaches Art as Social Action and Art as Moral Action.
