One of the aims of the Baltic Sea Festival is to highlight the important environmental issues. Five Seasons is a new work by Marie Samuelsson and is performed by Musica Vitae in a concert where it is contrasted to Vivaldi’s suite The Four Seasons. Inspired by rising global temperatures and their ominous consequences, it is a fateful companion piece to Vivaldi’s naive and unspoilt description of nature.
